Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and insuring vendor compliance - Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable - Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any payment issues or inquiries - Assist with the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations - Other duties include bank reconciliation and various monthly general ledger reconciliations Skills:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office - Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Previous experience as an accounts payable clerk or in a similar role is preferred Note:
